A roof top unit(combination AC and gas heat) has a full load of 29 amps. Would a 30 amp fusible disconnect with time delay 30 amp fuses and # 10 wire be acceptable or would the 115% of 28-714 apply?

    Hello Ampacity,

    Yes 28-714 does apply !

Also #10 wire is not large enough as 28-106 & 28-706 requires the conductors to have an ampacity not less than 125% of the motor FLA.

Also check out 28-708 for overcurrent device sizing.

    Hope this helps..
